Argubot Academy - iPad Game to teach Scientific Argument-ation

The session will introduce teachers to an iPad game that teaches argumentation for use in ELA and science classrooms. The game is aligned with NGSS and Common Core Standards. Laura Compton will share about her experiences teaching with the game, including pre-teaching activities and using data to inform instruction. 6-8

I have been teaching for 12 years and am currently an 8th grade teacher for the Santa Ana Unified School District. I have a passion for teaching middle school and feel that it is my calling in life. My goal is to create lessons that are relevant to content knowledge but also engaging and high interest to our 21st century learners.
